Hakomi is a way of life for me, both inside and outside of my office. It has guided me in gaining a greater depth of awareness of myself and others and has provided me with a path that embraces current neuroscience and ancient Eastern meditative traditions. Hakomi helps me to bring balance to my life.
My B.A. in Psychology is from the University of British Columbia and I also hold a diploma in Holistic Health from Grant MacEwan University, Edmonton. My informal education includes managing a retreat centre in New Zealand, being an active member of a holistic community in Australia, living and meditating in an ashram in India, and being a mother to two amazing children.
I am a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling and a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, as well as a member in good standing of the Canadian Professional College of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I have participated in numerous workshops, seminars, and trainings, leading to both personal growth and professional development. I see this growth and development as an ongoing process and I enjoy the learnings I gain from my continuing education. And while the learnings continue, I am always grateful to have the solid base of Hakomi to return to.
