Hakomi is a way of life for me, both inside and outside of my office. It has guided me in gaining a greater depth of awareness of myself and others and has provided me with a path that embraces current neuroscience and ancient Eastern meditative traditions. Hakomi helps me to bring balance to my life.
I hold a one-year post-graduate certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy from Vancouver Island University, my B.A. in Psychology is from the University of British Columbia and I have a diploma in Holistic Health from Grant MacEwan University. I am a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling and a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association.
My informal education includes managing a retreat centre in New Zealand, being an active member of a holistic community in Australia, living and meditating in an ashram in India, and being a mother to two amazing children.
I have participated in numerous workshops, seminars, and trainings, leading to both personal growth and professional development. I see this growth and development as an ongoing process and I enjoy the learnings I gain from my continuing education. And while the learnings continue, I am always grateful to have the solid base of Hakomi to return to.
