I currently live on Vancouver Island with my wife and young child.
I have been a professional in the holistic healthcare world since 2003. My original training and licensure is in acupuncture and herbalism. I started studying and practicing Hakomi in 2006. I became certified in Hakomi in 2010 and became a Hakomi Teacher in 2015. Seeing clients in person, I blend acupuncture and Hakomi together. When I see clients online, I do pure Hakomi with the option for an herbal consultation.
I treat adults experiencing stress, depression, grief, trauma and anxiety, along with the physical symptoms that accompany them. My goal is to help my clients experience greater ease in body, more joy in the mind, and have deeper, more connected relationships.
As a husband and father, themes of relationship and parenting are of keen interest to me. As a person of color (Indian heritage) with immigrant parents who were born into apartheid South Africa, I am deeply interested in systems of oppression and how they influence the mind and body. I welcome all kinds of people regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, and ability.
Yoga, meditation, Taoism, Buddhist spirituality, and Nature are resources I draw upon and share with clients when appropriate.
