Pamela Thompson, M.A., R.Psych., CHT, Hakomi Trainer

Pamela Thompson is a Registered Psychologist and Certified Hakomi Therapist. Pamela has been in private practice for over 20 years working with individuals and families; has been an instructor at the graduate level for those entering the field of psychology; and has provided years of supervision to both practicum students and provisional psychologists. Pamela is a trainer for the Hakomi Institute, the realization of a long time goal, and has many years of working within the Hakomi methods.

Her work has included a year and a half volunteer position in the Philippines, working with women and children who were victims of violence and advocating for the rights of those who were being exploited. Pamela continues to focus her practice on helping individuals overcome what can sometimes feel like isolating and overwhelming challenges.

The Hakomi principles work well both in my work with adults and adolescents. What I find particularly appealing is that these principles challenge me to first be better at being human then to see and hold what is well and wanting to flourish in others regardless of their situations.
